Major Enhancements to SL-DOG Portal Announced

apr 02 2017

InfoSense is pleased to announce additional enhancements to the SL-Dog portal that we hope you will find useful!

  • Enhanced Sorting - Measurements can now be sorted by latitude and longitude and we have included arrows that indicated the current sort column and sort order.

  • Edit Measurements Page - The page that is displayed when editing a measurement is now displayed on a full page instead of in a popup window.

  • Previous & Next Measurements - On the edit measurements page, the measurement prior to and after the measurement being edited are now displayed in both the grid at the top of the page and on the Google Maps display.  Also, just above the Google Maps display, there is a checkbox that allows you to hide or display the previous and next measurements. The previous and next measurements are also identified on the map with markers and the line color for the measurement is NOT coded based on the assessment.  The state of this checkbox is saved for each user so that when you return to the page, the checkbox is set to whatever is was previously set to.

  • Show Current Info Only Checkbox - At the top right of the grid on the edit measurement page, there is a checkbox labeled “Show Current Info Only”. When this box is checked, the grid will only display the current lat/lon for each measurement listed instead of showing both the original and edited lat/lon. The state of this checkbox is saved so that when the you return to the edit measurements page, whatever the state of the checkbox was last is used. If this box is checked, and if the measurement has had any edits, the lat/lon will be highlighted in yellow to indicate that there have been edits made to this measurement. This is similar to how the measurements are displayed in the results grid on the measurements page. The same is true for both the previous and next measurements displayed. Additionally, when this box is checked, the map will only display the current Tx and Rx markers and connecting line for the measurement being edited. Also, in the map, when the checkbox is checked, the edited endpoint(s) are displayed using the Edited Coordinates marker and the unedited endpoint(s) are displayed using the Original Coordinates marker.

  • Link Icons in Previous & Next Measurements Grid - In the Rx and Tx columns of the grid at the top of the edit measurements page, there are now link icons in the previous and next measurement rows. The purpose of these icons is to allow the user to set the Tx or Rx lat/lon of the measurement being edited to either the Tx or Rx lat/lon of the previous measurement or of the next measurement.  To determine how these icons work, simply hover over each icon to display a tool tip. Clicking on one of these links is just like clicking in the map and then clicking the Set TX/RX Coordinate button. A “Selected Coordinates” marker is displayed on the map, the lat/lon values are displayed in the New Latitude/New Longitude text boxes and values under either “New Tx Coordinate” or “New Rx Coordinate” are updated. To save the new coordinates to the measurement being edit, you must still click the "Save" button.

  • Export Measurements to PDF - Measurements can now be exported to a PDF file that includes an image of the Google Map and all of the information related to the measurement.  At the top of the measurements page for a selected device, there is now a button labeled "Export PDF" and a drop down list beside it.  To export measurements to PDF, you must select one or more measurements listed on the page.  You should try to limit the number of measurements being exported to less than 50 because the process to generate each measurements PDF export is somewhat time consuming because each measurement must be rendered in memory and then exported to the PDF file.  If the drop down is set to "1 Meas per File", then each selected measurement will be exported to a file and the collective files will be downloaded as a ZIP file.  If the drop down list is set to "All Meas in 1 File", then each selected measurement will be represented as a page and only 1 PDF file will be downloaded.  Additionally, on the Edit Measurement page, there is a "Print" button that will generated a PDF file of the measurement being edited with the currently saved values for that measurement.
